Christian von Blohn, born in 1963, concluded his studies at the State Music Conservatory in Saarbrücken (Germany) with the A-Diploma in Catholic Church Music (organ with André Luy) and also with a diploma in Musical Education.

He continued his studies in organ art performance at the national Conservatory in Lausanne, Switzerland, in the master class of André Luy where he was awarded the Premier Prix de Virtuosité.

 

Further studies with Daniel Chorzempa mainly in Ancient Music led him to the renowned Music Academy of Basel, Switzerland,

and to the "Mozarteum" in Salzburg, Austria.

 

 

Since 1993, Christian von Blohn has been director of music at Saint Hildegard's church in St. Ingbert (Saarland), Germany.

 

 

In addition, he teaches improvisation and liturgical organ performance at the State Music Conservatory at Karlsruhe, Germany.

 

On a busy concert schedule, he has performed all over Europe and he can be heard on numerous CDs as well as radio and television broadcast recordings.
